The type of wrist paired with a robot can directly impact mold design. An A/C servo combination wrist and an opposing pneumatic wrist flip are just two wrist examples. Considerations for your wrist options include torque requirements, wrist weight, weight of payload (parts and runners) combined and the extra daylight needed for wrist, payload and movement. Accuracy in placement, automation cells and nesting the EOAT to the mold is essential when determining robotic capability versus actual performance.
